And also, a lot of work. The human experience is built around memory and impressions: not the way the world actually is, but on how we perceive it. We breath deeply, slow down our movements and go on culinary adventures to sharpen our senses, but even with keen or heightened senses, the closest we come to reality is...a really good story.
But a really good story is like a trusted map on an excursion: if you've got it, you know where you are. Our story is something we're continually editing, writing and - let's face it - coming to terms with. When you need a new direction, you might need a new motto, something that will carry you forward with strength and grace into your next chapter.

When I create commissioned art, I use a process very similar to myself-inspired work: I take the vision to heart and consider all the ways I've perceived these words in the past and what they mean to me right now in the present circumstances of the world. The special thing about commissioned works, is that I also consider you and what your desiring to create. Sometimes you might not quite have the words; in these collaborations, we work together to select something that captures the essence of the dream.
What if you hate it
This has happened only once, but if you received your commissioned art and it feels totally wrong, I will refund you in full. I can say this without reservations because I put my greatest attention on each piece, working at it until it meets my extremely high standards. So there's no risk. I will even cover your postage to return if applicable.
But rest assured,
your art commission is not a decoration.

Everything related - drawing to design - is created by me and is original. I consider each commission deeply and put a lot of reflection in how your art forms using your insite. My 20+ years of award winning art and design experience is brought to your project.

Tell me about your project. For best results, I would like a description of your thoughts behind it so I can completely know and feel your project. It does not have to be perfect. A brief summary will suffice. Also, you can help me serve you by providing the following information:

You will receive a written quote before work begins. Please let me know if you are rushing but normally you should allow two-four weeks to receive your commissioned artwork. My fans enjoy the process. Many times I will record the process and upload the final work on social media. If you would rather keep it private just let me know. Please be assured that I am here for you and make every effort to give you art you'll absolutely love. If you are unsure, don't worry. I'll help you get the best result possible.

9" x 12" - $1,500
16" x 20" - $2,000
18" x 24" - $6,750
Murals and specialty work, let's talk.
Sometimes my friends and clients have a limited budget. I don't want money to get in the way of you owning a Starling Original. So if you have a budget that I need to stick to, I will scale the artwork's detail to meet your budget without sacrificing quality.
A deposit of (half the fee) is required to begin. Check, Venmo, bank transfer, and all major credit cards accepted. After we have begun, you may stop the work and request a full refund of the deposit at any time.
