Our world is ever-changing and so are our words. We use words to encourage, to defend, to testify; we use them to explain, to create, and to destroy. 

My work explores the complexities of human identity and experience. For me, that also comes with dyslexia. Using my dyslexic perspective, I see beyond the spelling of words and even the shaping of letters into how their patterns make us feel. Through the use of words, color, texture, and form, I create captivating pieces that seek to confront the viewer with a fresh perspective of the human spirit. It is important to me to reflect a deep wellbeing of the human condition as I aim to create art that is both harmonious and purposeful through WORDANDFORM. 

With degrees in graphic design, photography and theology, I pursue the integration of my passion for artistic creation with my experience as a creative designer, specializing in book cover design and stained glass windows. I am based out of Fairfield, Iowa, with my equally talented wife Madeline and our four amazing children.
